At Bob's open house on Saturday, (weather was great, crowd was huge) they had a "Dropped Bike" clinic in which they used wrecked, but intact GT, to demonstrate the proper pick-up technique. After watching Josh, (Service Mgr) pick the bike up several times with ease, but saw a giant of a guy unable to do it, I gave it a try, (at this point I surely will jinx myself by saying I have not had to pick-up my LT, yet).
Well, I did it on 1 (and 1/2) trys. I got the bike up on the tire's edge but then didn' get my butt in the proper place. Once pointed out by Josh and a quick butt adjustment (while still on the tire's edge) the bike was up and on it's stand. If you ever get to an open house at a dealer where they have this, I highly recommend giving it a try. It may be an eye-opener about how important just a little butt adjustment can be.
Another interesting display was our LT motor, transmission and rear drive displayed in a cut-away model. I'm going to be doing my 12,000 mile service soon, so that was very helpful.
Cheers!
