This may sound stupid, but I noticed a "T" in the top right hand corner of the radio display of my '03 LTC. I have no idea what it is, how it got there, or how to turn it off.. I reviewed the radio manual, and there is no mention of it either.

Does anyone know what it is and how I can remove it?

Thanks.

The T stands for Traffic. Look in your radio manual under Traffic Signal. Some radio stations broadcast a traffic message. I believe you turn it on and off with the mute button.

Hit the 'FM' or 'AM' button a 2nd time - it'll go away.

In Europe (well, Germany at least - what I'm familiar with), the broadcast stations can also include traffic news/alerts. If you've your radio set to respond to these alerts, the normal broadcast is 'muted' and the alert comes up louder. Or, as on our LTs, you can just hit the 'TP Mute' button and the broadcast show is taken to background and the traffic alert, news or whatever is brought louder. Just that here in the US we don't have any traffic radio so all we get is the 'mute' effect.

Back in the day of an East and West, it was quite handy when cruising the A-bahn or just get'n from one side of a metro area to the other.
