I'm looking for the most scenic, twisty roads I can find. Does anyone have some favorites I shouldn't miss?

I'm heading out June 1st for two weeks of riding bliss. No destination other than South out of Seattle towards Utah.

I'm waiting to see what replys you get. My wife and I are heading that way in September and continuing to New Mexico. It's one of the States we haven't been too. I've read reports that the terrain changes dramatically from the North to South. I have a large flat Atlas that gives us numberous road options. There is also a BMW club you could contact.

Cheers, Bill

I'm a Utah Ride Lover ( ??) and there are some roads:
The one I like most is UT 12 from Tropic to Torrey.

Then Hwy 143 from Parowan to Panguitch is another good one that you can combine in one trip (143--> 12)

From Loa to Vernal
http://www.viajareua.com/yellowstone03.shtml
also was a good road (most Hw 191)

Ho yep... Zion and Bricy and Arches are great places too.

Nice pics and web site. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll for sure take some of them.

Generally i stay in torrey or hamlet close by. Good rates generally available whenever i've been there and surprisingly good restaurants coffee shops. That way i can get on it by crack of noon and still make it to Zion or Bryce.

Joe,
You will love Utah, If you are a hiker you shouldn't miss Zion and Bryce. My favorite was Bryce. Lots of Utah can be brutally hot in the summer so be prepared. Stay at Ruby's best western in Bryce. The elevation there is approaching 9000 feet so it maybe more comfortable, Especially at night!

Southern Utah has some awesome roads and more national parks than you'll have time for.
Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce and Zion are only a few of the ones "not to miss" Colorado National Monument is another good one.
If you can try to spend a couple of days in Moab.
This is a motorcycle friendly, clean and reasonable motel.
