Last week I found a great resource in Tucson, AZ.
My rear Ohlins Type-4 shock had begun to weep a
little oil at the main shaft seal. In the past I have always
had to mail my shock to either Noleen Racing or PPS in
Anaheim, CA. The service was always slow and the shocks
would sometimes be gone for 3-4 weeks based on their racing
schedules.
I dropped my shock off Friday at this local shop and he called
on Tuesday. Shock was ready for pickup and he invited us down
to see the Dyno Run. He uses a 'S P A' TECHNIOUE Shock Dyno.
His printer had just been tossed in the trash or I would have a printout
of the dyno runs, both before and after. No re-valving was done so the
runs were identical.
Carlos is a great guy to deal with and if anyone is local and needs their
Ohlins serviced, I would highly recommend his shop. I did not inquire about
mail-order business but I can check into that if you like.
