I just replaced the rear brake micro-switch which was destroyed two years ago. (can't rush into these things!) Now it works Backwards! Turn on key, brake light is ON. Step on brake, light goes OUT! Anybody got any ideas? The switch only goes on one way, it sits on two pins. I even tried swapping the two wires but of course that didn't help as it is a simple mechanical switch with only two wires. Here's the part number: 61 31 2 305 855

The early bikes had switches that closed their contacts when actuated (completing the circuit). IIRC, the later bikes have normally closed switches, which open when actuated (apparently the change was made so the Integral system can detect the switches during the start-up routine).
