My new BT020B's came in and coincidentally a Harley guy I just met this weekend gave me a tip on a place to get them mounted and balanced.

"The Motorcycle Tire Store " 3301 S. Agnew. OKC.

Now for the rest of the story...

Got to hear this man's diatribe on the fact that Avon's are the only tire worthy of putting on a motorcycle. All other brands were crap or worse.

Showed me a tire that was about half worn out and supposedly had 28 thousand miles on it. On a bike heavier than my BMW. Hmmmm........

Anyway while he gave me his shpiel on tires he got mine mounted and balanced to "his" satisfaction and certainly to mine. I got new stems also.

He knew the tires and wheels were from an LT, I didn't have to tell him.
He knew to put 42 in the front and 48 in the rear, I didn't have to tell him.

Total charge $10.00 Would not accept a tip...Says BMW's get special treatment... Says next time just bring in the bike. Does the whole job for $7.50 per tire..

I kid you not......

$10??? Heck, I can't even get 2 stems for that! Here in good old Bartlesville the Honda and Yamaha dealer run around $45-50 per tire. My dealer in Tulsa wanted $130+ to do both if I took them off!

I have a buddy who helped me last year - we dinged a rim though.. :(

Wonder what you friend would charge me - I run Avons F/R... ;)

See ya' Saturday!

Well Shawn I'll be talking to you about how you like them ... His prices were pretty darn good on the tires. I think he wanted 133 or 139 on the rear..

That with the 7.50 to pull the thing off the bike and put it back on....

I don't care if he preaches to me at that price....:)

Now all I have to worry about is that friggin leaky fork seal..

Yes, See you Saturday.. New Tires ! Woo Hoo!:yeah: :yeah: :yeah:
