i am ordering a bill mayer saddle and i would like to know if someone out there can help with the removal of the stock seat. i began with the passenger back rest and the wire is attached for the heating, and i cannot easily see how it is detached. please someone with some experience advise. thanks and i see this is a great way to learn about the bike. if you have comment about the type of seat i welcome your comments.

The passenger back reast heating connector is located behind the left rear speaker cover. You have to take out the little Torx head screws (about 10 or 12 total) that hold it from the inside of the trunk. (Keep track of the screws and don't mix them as they are of different lengths.)

I also recommend filling your profile a little, you might get more responses...:)

Hi namrehwp;

Was wondering why you settled on on a Mayer over a Day Long or Kontour. I an seriously investigating all three and am having difficulty making up my mind. Day Long will actually refund $$ if the seat is NG. That is very inviting. :D

I have a Bill (Rocky) Mayer seat and love it. The day after I got it I did two 750-mile days back-to-back. I've done several 1,000 to 1,500 mile days since with no problems. Can't comment on the other two seats as I've never ridden either of them. No need to look elsewhere when what I have works this well.
