My new Mick-O-Pegs that Jason installed for me Friday worked great on the 700 mile trip home Saturday.

Jason installed mine Friday am and they work great. I think that most guys under 5'11 would like them over the j-pegs. I'm not ready to use them on the Dragon but they work great on the open highway !!

Jason installed a pair of Mick-o-Pegs for me, but not until AFTER he installed Matt Lauritzen's Jpegs on my LT. Matt didn't care for the Jpegs (something about not being able to reach them! :D ), so he sold them to me. I went down to STC II with no expectation of having anything done to my LT; came back with Jpegs and Mick-o-Pegs. Tried them both out on our Saturday rides. Very nice, and NO -- I don't mind the "gyno-exam" position that the Jpegs require. Nice to have some air up the pants legs!

I like the new avatar, Howard. But no bike in the pic? Did you walk Deal's Gap? :)

When riding the curves wouldn't you want to be keeping your toes close to the clutch and brake levers as opposed to having them on any type of highway pegs?

We were running real late when we finished the Dragon, so we didn't take time to pose with the bikes in front of the signs. Joel (tarheel_rider) was about 6 hours late leaving for home so he, FredR and I did quick photos, got a couple of souvenirs and high-tailed it out of there.

I don't like getting my feet that high in the air. The last time I did it was during a crash. :)

Good catch!! I read it as I think it was meant, but my wife and I got a real good laugh when you drew our attention to "...toes near the clutch..."

I'm glad I'm not alone with mis speaking, or mis typing what I try to say.

Ken , since you have never been to Deal's Gap, the sign is elevated and is a dead end "path". It is difficult to get an LT there for a pic.

Just to give you an idea!

Ride safe out there\
:D

Brett, good point.

See... I was gonna pose on the LT next to the Deal's Gap sign, but all the guys who helped hold up Susan Galpin's bike while she got on it weren't available, and NO WAY was I going to ask other guys at Deal's Gap to help with that! Simply standing next to the sign seemed to be the expedient thing to do.

Actually, I have been through Deal's Gap, and have seen the Tree of Shame. When Grif found out that I had to fly in to the Gatlinburg CCR due to time constraints, he practically ordered me to take Barbara out for a ride. Who was I to argue? http://users.pandora.be/eforum/emoticons4u/sad/533.gif

Still, I look forward to riding it again at this year's CCR, on my own bike. :D
