My wife and I will be traveling from Maine to the pacific coast through Canada this summer. We would like information on good routes and points of interest from Montreal west. Any sections you can help us with will be appreciated. We plan to go from mid July to mid August. We prefer country to cities.
Also, guide us on routes or areas to stay away from. We will be towing a Bunkhouse camper so special campgrounds or parks will be helpful.
Thanks a lot,
Bill Zeller

Bill,
Last summer I Rode north from Seattle via the backroads to Hwy 5 in B.C. Canada then to hwy 16 leading to Jasper. then south on hwy 93 thru Banff NP, Followed 93 to Lake louise. then meandered our way south into Montana then to hwy 89 and hung a right on The Going to the sun hwy thru Glacier NP. Lots of good riding from there. Yellowstone, Tetons, Badlands, Endless possibilities up here in the NW. We would travel until a late dinner time and then start looking for a campground. Every night we were able to find an excellent place. Keep in mind that whole section of travel can bring you up to some pretty high elevations and the fickle weather that accompanies it. WE were there in August and saw temps ranging from the twenties to the nineties. All in the same week! We camped mainly in the mountains and nighttime temps would get into the high twenties and thirties some nights. so be prepared for the weather and the most spectacular scenery you have ever seen,

When you get out west, B sure 2 do the Ice Fields Pkwy. # 93 Jasper/ Banff.
Enjoy, Steve
