We spent the long weekend at the Outer Banks at Corolla. Not a long haul by most standards, but it was our first trip on the LT and left us looking forward to more. When I had the K75, Julie could go an hour without a break and no more than 3 hours total a day. What a difference on the LT, which is to be expected and what we had hoped for, but still great to confirm it in experience. We left Thursday afternoon and got there in time for a late dinner. On Friday, we hadn't had enough, so went for a ride down to Hatteras and back which with the heavy traffic took us about 6 hours with lunch thrown in. Then Saturday night over to Elizabeth City to have dinner with my sister and family. Then back to Cary today. Just about 1,000 miles over the four days and all fun. On this trip, I learned I really like the cruise control. I had never seen the need for it before, but it certainly helps take the effort out of a longer ride. No pictures, we took the camera, but like usual managed to go the whole weekend without using it once. Oh well, have to rely on our memories :)
