First, I would like to wish everyone a HAPPY EASTER!!
Second, after many late night hours + long weekend hours, Drivers Log 3.18 is now available (over 50 beta testers helped out)!
This version fixes / changes / adds the following:
- Fixed DL Shareware expiration notice reporting that a database was beyond its 30 day trial period (it displayed a very large day count)!
- Fixed an 'Unknown Error' that occurred after editing a maintenance record - the error only occurred if the Maintenance Edit Dialog was invoked by double-clicking on a detail record.
- Fixed Vehicle Edit Dialog expecting vehicle type 'Car' to be defined. If the type was changed / deleted, DL would require a hard shutdown!
- Fixed printing from Company List (previous versions had an EAccessError).
- Fixed expanding / collapsing EAccessError in Tiew View if the Expand / Collapse buttons were clicked.
- Fixed Country field throwing an error if a country not supported by MSN Maps was selected. If a country not supported by MSN is entered, the default address format will be US.
* Changed Company List grid view from multi-line record to single line (and user picks display columns).
+ Added Image Types to the Dropdown List Values dialog - this allows users to classify images like Invoice, Receipt, Business Car, Photo, etc - this feature will be expanded upon in later versions of DL.
+ Added multi-image support to all record editors (Image Record Edit Grid). Can be used for multi-page receipts, associating photos, business cards, etc.
+ Added 'Address Book' tab to Navigation Bar - includes Contacts List and Company List views.
+ Replaced the Contacts Page in the Rolobase with a more robust Contacts View (I will be expanding this view quite a bit as I go along). The Contact List is in DL is more powerful than many stand-alone address book type programs!
+ Added Contact Groups to Contacts List (going to make a Contact Manager out of it yet)!
+ Vehicle General Information View can now be closed and sorted. In previous versions of DL, the General Information View was always anchored as the first vehicle view and could not be closed without closing the vehicle.
+ Added Grid Column Layout Dialog for easier column selection / configuration in the grid views.
+ Added 'Include in Vehicle Cost' field to Accessory View.
+ Added Filter button to all grid view data navigators.
+ Added speed menus (right mouse click) to each of the main view's tab dialogs for quicker configuration.

While Drivers Log is still primarily a vehicle management / trip expense software, it is involving into a complete program to manage one's every day personal / business activities. While it still has a long way to go, I can assure you that your time investment in Drivers Log will not go unrewarded as we move forward together. I will still keep to its roots as the only developed software product of its kind primarily for the MOTORCYCLE rider!
On a personal note, this past week Drivers Log got it's 1,000 registered user - thank you very much for all the support!
If you have any comments, suggestions, or questions, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Best Regards,
Shane
