Until I get down to Russell Daylong about a new saddle for my 05 LT
I want to install the * New * style Angled J-Pegs first...

Getting past the prohibitive cost was the first step....`Gulp.....
Wish they were priced more like the Ottomans @ 1/3 the price.

How hard are they to install? I am an average kinda mechanic who does all the easier maintenance, fluid and accessory install stuff myself.

If you can use a screwdriver, wrench and drill you will not have a problem. If you have not purchased yet, take a look at Mic O Pegs. Very, very comfortable and a board contributer. I'm lovin life with mine!

One crucial point...follow the directions exactly as it pertains to the ball bearing install. If you place the bearing on the J-Peg detent hole and then try to fit it into the spring hole, you'll damage the mounting arm. You will find some specific comments on other threads. I am mechanically declined and I was able to get it right.

Just take your time and be really careful installing the bearing. Pack the spring hole with lots of grease and the bearing will stick to it. Don't try and fit the detent hole on the bearing. Place it against the flat surface (the area between the detent holes) first.

Thanks for the info - I think I will take a look at the mic -o- pegs too.
