I don't know if this should be in Chit Chat or Humor!

A while back when the new intel duo Macs appeared, many thought that it was only a matter of time before Mac allowed Windows to be run on the Macs.

I for one was shocked at the notion! What a dumbass!

Actually what I am waiting for is that VMWare brings a MAC OSX version of their software. Running MAC OS and XP at the same at almost native speeds will be the key to start replacing the PC's around here. Then I can still run all the WinDoze only SW and still have the stability of the MAC OS platform.

I read about it also this morning, here: http://news.zdnet.com/2100-3513_22-6057856.html?tag=nl.e589

Now maybe my next computer CAN be a Mac! If it will run my Windows apps easily, and still have the other features Mac offers, why not?

yup. ed zachary. i predict apple will get a nice little bump in sales out of this from all those PC owners (like me) who still want to run both but prefer the elegance of the mac.

I switched from XP to Mac about 6 months ago. There is not too much that is not available on the mac for free or very cheap. I will not install office and/or windows.

No looking back. Things work much better and faster with no where near the amount of spyware and virus issues.

Neo Office has excel and word compatiblity for FREE! The only issue so far is Garmin, but that will be a non issue soon.

I have never been "anti Mac", but have been "anti Mac zealot". :D :D Some Mac people are just way TOO "holier than thou". :p

I have always said the only reson I COULDN'T use a Mac was the fact that my main use software won't run on them. Microsoft user by default.

I would rather wait until a VMWare-like product, or WINE like product allows me to run Windows programs while running Mac OS X.
