Is Spring Really here??

Well the weather has finally broken. Rode the LT to work today (23 degreesF) this morning but the afternoon was great; hit 68 here.

Had the '74 CB750 running and over to the Honda shop for inspection. Passed with flying colors. Now my 19 year old is on his way to getting some riding instruction and riding time. Plenty of figure "8"s; stop;go and turning drills. Can't wait for the Americade in June.

I'm with ya Chuck. Rode in the last 3 days. This bike sure is nice! My 17yr old son should has done a few laps out front of the house with his Kawasaki Eliminator 125. Signed up for the MSF Beginner course in June (couldn't get a weekend earlier) so I'll probably already have him fairly well trained with my bad habits.

When you headed up to Americade? I'm heading up with my family, Brother and wife, Father and SO, and myself and wife but only for a couple of days.

Time to see what it's about. Father goes quite a bit as he is the serious rider of the family.

We'll have to get out for a spin soon..........

I racked up over 1,000 miles this week since Monday morning and I have quite a day planned for Saturday and Sunday, Yes sir! Spring is finally HERE!!!

...Signed up for the MSF Beginner course in June (couldn't get a weekend earlier) so I'll probably already have him fairly well trained with my bad habits...At least in Ohio, the MSF lets you show up without pre-registering. If there is an opening, you can take the course at that time. If there are more space-A guys showing up than empty seats, they do a drawing. This is done, of course, to maximize the instructors' time and the # of students who are trained. A win-win, as they say.

At the BRC I took last fall, 4 of us showed up without reservations. 3 of us got in. Sweet!

Joe, This bike has been around for quite a while. I drove it to Americade 11 years ago with my son on the back and towing a trailer. He is 19 now and riding the ole' gale. Quite a story.


Randy; Americade-been going since '87. Will probably leave here the Thursday before the big weekend. Camping at Eagle Point St. Park up near Pottersville on Lake George. Are you camping or motel-ing??

We are heading up on Thursday June 8th and actually staying in Albany at a Hotel. The wives are not into camping, in fact I am not sure their into the Americade yet, but have decided to go so we'll see how it goes. I am looking forward to it myself. Maybe in the sea of people we will bump into each other.....

I'm going to be odd man out with my father and brother riding wings......but hey I don't hold it against em :rolleyes:

Today was another gorgeous day and I also got in 5 holes of golf with my youngest son besides the bike ride to and from work........doesn't get much better than that!!!
