I recently purchased a second remote for my alarm and have tried to register it on my 2005 LT.
I have attempted to use the procedure out of the alarm manual. The first step is to "identify" myself. To this point I have not been able to get to the point where I enter the code number.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

The trick is to get by the three ON-OFF sequences in 4 seconds. Then count the led flashes; say for the first digit of 2, the exact moment the led begins to light up the second time do a quick ON-OFF. Don't delay or you miss the code. It must be done the moment it lights up. Then proceed to the next digit.

I used the previously listed technique and it worked! Thanks for your assistance.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but this is exactly the help I need.
I am trying to help a friend with an '07 LT that needs the second fob registered. We can get into the ID mode by turning the ignition "on-off" 3 times in 4 seconds....it then makes a tone "Beep" to let us know to move onto the next step; and this is where we run into trouble........
The LED on the bike starts to flash, we count.....1.....2.....3.....4.....and turn the ignition "on-off".......as soon as the light comes on the 4th time. According to the manual the bike should make another "beep" tone (or two....I don't have it in front of me) and we go on to the next digit; the problem is we have never received the tone telling us that the first digit was accepted. And I assume that without that tone acknowledgement everything after that is not working. :brick:
Any ideas?
