Problem with Metzeler Tires?

Just left dealership with new set of Metzeler tires front and rear. When I reached highway speed I noticed a vibration in front end. Went back to dealer and after checking balance and tire, found the tire thread to be defective. As you might guess, they did not have another front tire in stock and my old tire had been thrown out already. So, I left bouncing down the road. Dealer will order new tire and work me in at my time schedule. It is not as bad as I am making it out to be, but any vibration in front end is unnerving. Just wondered if this is an ongoing problem or just one in a milllion.

Don't know as to the frequency, but now that you mention it mine does too. I thought it was normal, but the engine sounds like it is pinging at lower rpm's too and I am pretty sure thats normal as well. So, my point is I guess everything is normal till you learn otherwise. Nevermind its the cough medicine talking. :sleep:

Occasionally, Metzelers come from the factory with internal problems. Sounds like you got a bad one, and if your dealer is going to replace it that's about all you can do.

In the years I havebeen running metzelers, I've had one bad tire, it was a front on the lt, I don;t remember how long I have run the me880's it;s been quite some time as I ran them on my Harley too

I have gone through a few sets of Metzelers and have not had any problems with them. They have always performed as expected.
