I am looking into passenger armrests. I found these on ascycles.com. Has anyone put armrest on there K1200LT? Both photos look as if it restricts the width of the seat considerably. Any comments or direction to best products is greatly appreciated.

Your top picture seems to be different than the others. I have the ZTechnik armrest as pictured in the lower pics. The inside edge is a little wider than the rear section of the seat. They are of very good quality.

I put Don Muddiman's armrests on my '05 LT two weeks ago and they work great. They look a bit like the top picture. There is plenty of room for the passenger as long as they are of normal size. The SO loved the ride to Atlanta with the new armrests. A friend has the lower units and his SO has plenty of room also.

I too looked at the armrests for the LT and bought the Ztechniks. My SO loves them to death. Drilling through the side box kinda scared me, but there was no problem, they give you templates and they are right on. And no, she didn't lose any room.

Click right here (http://www.eagle-i.us) for Don's armrests. My friend Dave just installed a set and he and wife, Kathy love 'em. Easy install too, he said. HTH

One more post endorsing Don's product. IMHO;) they are a "cleaner" looking fit and they fold up & out of the way well. They are a very well constructed product and I am happy that I went with this option.

The top picture are the G&G Armrests, which I just installed on mine last week. They are great, my wife loves them and they look awesome. I am sure the ZZ's in the other pictures are just as functional but I had a problem drilling into my topcase. I have an 06 and with the G&G's it took some rework to get them installed and still have the switch for the topcase light be operational but in the end I am very happy with them and would do it again. Good luck with whichever solution you decide on!

This is the correct link, but appears to be down. I'm sure he will fix it soon. If not you can probably find his phone number with a search of the site. I have this product and it is worth tracking Don down to get it.

I am looking at NOT drilling into my trunk/top case as well, in addition I'd like gray, since my seat(s) are the gray ... I've google G&G armrest, not sure if I've got the 'correct' place to get them. Where did you get yours  ???

That's for the Mick O'Pegs site.

Don's site used to be: http://www.eagle-i.us/armrest.htm but it doesn't appear to be working.

I am getting a set of Z Techniks tomorrow I hope, if UPS tracking is correct. My wife is really getting in to day rides now and she wanted to be comfortable. Our friends have them and really like how they look, my wife's comment.."where can I put my Starbucks?" Now someone has to come up with a cup holder for them

Sent an email to Don asking if his web site was down. Got the following reply. Don't think he'd mind me posting it - just informational.

Hi Carl,

Yes the web hosting service in Texas is down that host my web page.
They had a major transformer explosion and at this time they have no idea
when all the servers will be back on line. From what I have read it took
out some walls on the building but all the servers are intact. Hopefully
it will be back on line soon.

Best Regards,
Don

I have his arm rests and we really like them Very well made. Have a couple of buddies that want to buy them and I was trying to refer them to his site. I'm sure if you contact him by email he'll send you all the info you need. Really nice guy to deal with

I got the Z Tecknics Monday and got them installed and my wife loves them, that is my endorsement. It was a little nerving drilling holes in the top case, but if you follow directions there was no problem at all, took less then 1 hour to install them.

I recently had my dealer install a set of Ztechnique armrests when I picked up my 07LT (new to me). I love them and most importantly the wife really likes them. I had a GT for 4 years prior to this bike that I tried to make into a "mini-LT" for our trips. I liked everything we did, but was never able to get a set of armrests for the wife to work with the RT topcase I installed on the GT. The ZT armrests look like stock, are quality in construction and really look great on the bike. They cost a few $$$, but I think they were worth it.

:thumb: for Don Muddiman's armrests . . .

1. When not in use and folded up very inconspicuous
2. Dropped it twice with wife on back and she just moved them up and stepped of the bike - no issues was not trapped
3. Wife falls asleep on long boring rides - feels very safe and secure!!
4. Can remove from bike with no evidence they were ever on the bike
5. Very attractive price . . .

Try Euro Motorsports. They are the distributor for GG Technic accessories in the U.S. GG Technic makes them in gray too, but you may need to call to order. Pricey aren't they? I like mine.
