We're gettin' darn close!!!

We must be gettin' close to the arrival of the new K1200GT. BMW has just pushed out the new GT1 software CDs to the dealers. This includes new information (i.e., diagnostics, electrical diagrams, required tools, control unit functions, etc...) for the following bikes:

R1200GS Adventure
K1200GT (K44, the new one)
R1200RTP (the police version)
F800S
F800ST
R1200S
I've been told by my dealer that the R1200GS Adventure should be in sometime over the next week or two. We'll see if BMW stays on schedule. With so many dealers scheduling open houses toward the end of April, I'm thinking that the initial dealer demo K1200GTs will be in sooner, rather than later, but that is PURE SPECULATION on my part.

You guys are lucky. I called the BMW dealer here in town and they said that they won't have any GT's for the demo ride on May 6th. They said that their complete run will be sold out before it gets to the floor so it looks like the only way I am going to get to ride one, is to either buy it first or steal one. Ron
