I was talking with a friend about places to visit on my trip to and from CCR and he suggested the following websites to investigate if we were going to be in Western North Carolina, East Tennessee, and North Georgia. Thought they might be of interest to the group. I think they named it after Dave Dragon but I am sure he will enjoy cruising the area some of these rural routes. Wheels Through Time has a motorcycle museum that could prove a nice stop on the way to somewhere. Don’t know anything about deals gap except it is a station and store that caters to bikers.

BEST CURVES
The Road Route 129 ("The Tail of the Dragon")
Location Between Tallassee, Tenn., and Tapoco, N.C.
Length 23.2 miles
Why Drive? This snaking road cuts through Great Smoky Mountains National Park and follows the Little Tennessee River. But keep your eyes at 12 o'clock. This 11-mile stretch between the Tabcat Bridge in Tennessee and the Fugitive Bridge in North Carolina boasts an astonishing 318 twists and turns. Glance at the river and you might find yourself in it.
When to Go Weekday mornings to avoid crowds.

Been there many times and have the t-shirt, but I do believe I'd love to see the museum. The United State's second largest mall is 10 miles away from the Chateau, I believe I'll go to the museum the day the gal's do that.
