Hello,
I am new to the site. I just sold my R1100S and bought an 03 LT.. The help that I am looking for is, how do you pack and/or what do you pack for a 2 to 3 week trip. I don't want to pull a trailer and I didn't know if anyone had some tips or if there was a thread out there about this type of thing. It would be me and the fiance... Thanks

Here's one thread I remember.

Do you have a trailer yet?

Don't look at as 2 or 3 weeks, pack for 3 or 4 days, wash & start over.

Here is a check list that I have used:
www.micapeak.com (checklist), are you camping or moteling it? There are several other M/C camping web sites out there also.
Last spring I spent 10 days on the southern coast of California moteling. Then in the fall another 10 days this time the northern coast of California and Oregon camping, everything fit on my 02LT no trailer needed. The camping was alot more fun.

Hey appreciate the responses.. I did plan on looking at it like packing for 4 or 5 days and either washing in the hotel or at a laundry place.... I plan on doing a little moteling and camping I have a Sportz Pac with the tent and sleeping bags.. Just depends on where I am whether I camp or motel... I just didn't know if I should take towels or extra shoes, tools.. things of that nature but let me look thru the info... any other help is good.. I live in Pittsburgh area and I am going to Seattle, thru Dakota's, Montana and back.. I have friends there...

The BMW tool kit along with a tire plug kit & small 12 volt compressor. Don't need towels if you moteling. I used to bring an extra pair of shoes until I found a pair of waterproof riding boots that I can actually walk in. Don't forget rain gear.
