Hi Guys,
Another one met in Europe.
And he's coming to Elan too!
This was at Garmisch Partenkirchen, the BMW biker treffen.
Met a very friendly and outgoing man there called Phil Merrick.
A retired green-baret colonel travelling 10,000 plus kms through Europe on a BMW.
I had the pleasure of showing him around in Amsterdam.
Had us a nice little ride, and eat, and drink.
He went and bought a KLT and now also comes to CCR.
Please give him a warm welcome, and Victor's greetings.

Hey, CCR Ambassador Victor --- good job on recruiting Phil. Can't wait to hear his tales of traveling on the continent. Glad you two got together; and he wuz very fortunate to have your company in Amsterdam - betcha he'll remember ya forever!! I know I will.
Thanks, Victor (btw, you think he might like KKs and *$$?? ;) ).
Oh yeah - and did you take a bunch of pics at Garmisch? I've alwayz enjoyed those in the past and look forward to more.
Ride safe, Vic.

Hi Dick,
I'll see what pix I can drag up from my archives. Whether Phil likes KK's and KKKKKaaaaffffeeee klatch? I think so. He's one for the finer tastes in life :D
Got a Germany get together beginning of may, where we'll try to get 100 KLT's together. Somewhere in Nurnberg where there will be about 20,000 bikers. That will surely make for some nice pix. End of may the german KLT treffen in Stadtkyll. Wine land, vinyards, Mosel river and twisties.
Maybe a bratwurst or two.
And BEER, lots a BEER!;)
Sorry, got carried away there:o
I think you have the task to find the nearest KK and $tarb. near Élan
Rubber side down please...

Great going, Victor. Always glad to meet a new friend, and I promise to try to make him welcome, as I am certain will everyone else!
BTW, we have a whole new passel of folk who have never met you, and old-timers who miss you! Any plans on coming over again??

Hi Jay, and the missus of course,
CCR is not in the stars for me in the near future.
Outside of obligations the monetary part just doesn't suffice.
But that I'm going to another CCR is sure.
I had such a great time!
Luckily Europe is my back garden.
Gas is part of the itinerary, and at 1Euro50 per liter an expensive item.
I'm thinking about camping in the wild, and washing in the stream.
The new folks just have to get used to a Booze Brother by proxy:)
