Well, My wife wanted to go to Palmer, Ma from Middletown, Ct yesterday. I suggested we take the bike. She agreed but she wanted to do some house drive bys. So i plotted the three houses on the gps and off we went. It was about 32 degrees when we left our condo. It never got above 35 degrees and we ran into some flurries on the way. The only real issue we had and it turned out to be a non issue thank god was at an intersection in Mass, we almost got rearended by a Durango. He missed us by a few inches. Here is what happened. Approaching a some town and a three way intersection, ahead in the intersection was a large pick up truck I had a yeild sign so i slowed down, the pick up truck stopped in the intersection the idiot behind me which I will admit I had no idea he was there, was not paying attention and thankfully had the skills to swerve around us. Lesson I learned Always, ALways know what is in front and in back of you. Always. My problem here was I was fixated on the pickup in the intersection and not what might be coming up behind me. We had just come off a great twisty road as well so i think my mind might have been reliving the fun little section.
The whole trip lasted almost ten hours with our stops and only hit highway for 5 miles just to cut some time off the return trip. It was fun and good to see old friends. Waiting for spring.

Jim, you know those $&%#*^ Massachusetts drivers, always having intersection accidents!!! I first saw Hyperlites on two New Hampshire BMW's in the Boston area. Installed them on Champ a few weeks later. Every little bit helps keep the cages away!! Glad it was only a story for you to tell, and nothing more. Spring is here, let's ride. B.B.

Hello and how are you guys? I may just dot he hyperlight upgrade. I did the low beam HID upgrade over the winter and I am thinking I should the High beam as well. The rear of the bike is not nearly as visible as it could be. Do you have a certain vendor you bought your Hyper lights from? BTW, the Belstaff stuff is amazing. Super warm and comfy. Hope to see you guys soon.

Jim, check out the web site, www.hyperlites.com and then call the owner, Ron Watkins at 888-770-1010. Ron will make sure you get the kit for a 2005 LT. Some local dealers stock a generic kit of which your have to spend more time hooking up. The LT kit is; just remove the rear tail light assy, two screws, plug in the new leads, and reinstall the light assy. I have the Standard Kit, just left/right flash when brake light power is supplied. Your 2005 ABS brakes are more sensitive to brake light current draw than my 2000 is. Four years ago the price was $55.95 plus $5.50 shipping from the manufacture in MI. B.B.
