Looking for info on how to compress my front end in the shop, Im building my own light brackets and need to check clearences between the fender and my lites, any experiance in this area out there...matthew

Really-- there must be someone who has done this before??? I was thinking of a strap around my front tire and up around the telelever top part...matthew

Frame Central beam cast alum. w/ steel tube rear frame
Front Suspension BMW Telelever
Front Travel 4.0 inches
Rear Suspension BMW Paralever
Rear Travel 5.1 inches

That won't work, the telelever arm moves with the tire. You would have to get the strap over the top of the inner fork tubes. Not likely.
I think if you remove the bolt through the lower part of the shock you can then move the wheel up, but no way to know just where the top of travel is with the shock unhooked from the telelever.
