When I am in Wisconsin, my dealer is BMW Motorcycles of Milwaukee, managed by John Erdmann. Here we are when I picked up my new R1200RT (John is on the left):

John runs an exclusive BMW dealership. If you have patronized a multibrand dealer, you can understand what a joy it is to go to an exclusive dealer.
His pricing for new bikes is competitive, his service offers timely service, and -- believe it or not -- every single employee RIDES a BMW motorcycle to work during riding season.
I have bought two bikes from John and will likely buy more. It is a pleasure to deal with John and patronize BMW Motorcycles of Milwaukee.

I purchased my 2005 K1200LT from John and could not be happier with the pricing and service I have received. They are honest and have great mechanics employed. Their cost for my 12,000 mile checkup was 1/2 of what I now pay in Arizona. Cost aside the service in Arizona is sub-par. The Milwaukee dealership set the bar for the other dealerships I have visited. Unfortunately I have been very, very dissatisfied with all the other dealers I have visited since I have moved to Arizona. Around Phonix there are two dealers and I have had service done by both. One charges an arm, a leg and your first born and still the service is not satisfactory. The other one has totally incompetant help and stocks virtually no parts. Consequently, I have to ride down to Tucson for what I am hoping will finally be a good dealer experience. To reiterate the Milwaukee BMW dealership is the best I have visited. Too bad they are 1,800 miles away.

Iron Horse Motorcycles, in Tucson, is also a first-rate, exclusive-BMW dealer. Some of its staff, including the owner, John Cartwright, ride BMW motorcycles to work some of the time.
So when I am in Wisconsin, I go to BMW Motorcycles of Milwaukee. When I am in Arizona, I go to Iron Horse. Both are very good, and both owners are named "John." :)

I purchase my first BMW, a 2000 K1200LTC, from John at BMW of Milwaukee. I found BMW of Milwaukee's web site and saw the LT for sale. I Inquired about it and put a deposit down in Feb. John held the bike for me until the weather was nice enough to get to Milwaukee and ride it back to Minnesota (last Thurs 4/6/06). John was excellent to work with. The price of the bike was very fair. THe bike was in excellent conditon as described. I was not dissapointed.
The LT is the best bike I have ever owned, (4th). I would enthusiastically recommend BMW of Milwaukee to anyone looking to buy a BMW, or a place to go for service.

I didn't buy my LT from BWM Motorcycles of Milwaukee but recently had a problem with the bike and had to bring it to them for service. They were very responsive to my questions and concerns and even though the repair took 10 days (not their fault) they kept me informed every step of the way and I managed to salvage a weekend trip out of State that I had planned. They are top notch and when it comes time to buy a new bike, they'll get my business.

To anyone who wants a great experience,
I have been riding and trading motorcycles for 35 years. I bought my first real m/c from John Erdmann at Milwaukee BMW in 02 and received excellent service. When I had a final drive failure John and BMW took very good care of me!!!
A friend in Chicago saw and rode my LT and had to have one, after working with 4 other dealerships I told him to call John 2 days later he very happily bought his LT.
I read about all the improvements on the new LTs and had spoke to several other dealers that my friends knew had some leftover 05s and decided it was not the year for a trade, till John. Last year I took my 99 LT in for service and was caught by John drooling over the new 05 on the sales floor, he took pity on me and I am the happy owner of a 05 K1200LT just out of the box at a price and interest rate that blew me away.
Their service has always been 1st class and after reading in the forum about some other dealers I am delighted to be blissfully spoiled by John and his staff.
My deepest thanks to him for running such a fine dealership and making my riding experience the best I ever had!
