I am going to replace my 880s with 020s on Monday and want to change out the valve stems. I did a search but was unable to find the part number for the metal valve stems. I do not want the angled ones! Seems that I read there were two different models and different sizes? Sure could use the part number and which auto store.
Thanks

If you go to this thread:
http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6130
Look at the picture where the angle valve stem part number 945 is displayed, the part number for the straight version is 944. The straight version of the same product is what have.
I got them (the 944 version ) at my local Hondayammykawi dealer.

You can go to O'Reilys and get them in pairs for about 8 bucks

Jim,
I cannot find the previous reference for the metal valve stem on the site, but I did find a note in my file regarding a CAMEL 30-445 or equivalent - which I found in an auto parts store using the printed size shown on the CAMEL package that was (I think) once here on the site.
Hope this helps.

Here's a link (http://www.bmwlt.net/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=K1200LT&Number=266548&page=&view=&sb=&o=) to the old site. The last picture at the bottom of the original post shows the Camel stems. Any of the steel stems can be purchased at any auto supply store just make sure that they are the same size as those in the picture.
Cheers.

Thank you Steve. That is the thread I was looking for. I am not sure why I could not find that on my search.
Off to NAPA tomorrow.
