mp3 player connection

My radio head unit ('99 model') was replaced under warranty when they could trace a wiring fault - but now i have a single slot cd player instead of a cassette unit. Interesting the radio shows an 'AUX' input - can i connect my mp3 player to this input? if so where is the connector?

I bought the cable described in the other thread and connected my Sirius radio. The volume is lower even though I have the Sirius cranked up but the quality is very good, much better than the FM transmitter.
