OK, now stop it. After reading the post of the GT options this morning, I was wondering if we needed a specific GT forum. Then I figured we already had an "Other K-Bikes" forum. But now, here it is. Guess I was right. :)

I assume this is more of El Jeffe's doing? Keep up the good work.

We've been thinking about this for quite a while. Between the recent uptick in R1200RT acquisitions by LT owners, and the talk about the next-gen GT, we thought it would be a good idea.

Like the announcement says:

After careful consideration, and in an effort to assure the long term growth of the BMW Luxury Touring Community, we are adding two BMW Touring Motorcycles to the BMW Luxury Touring Lineup. You will notice two additional forums for the R1200RT and the Next-Generation K1200GT.

As you have probably noticed, many of our long time members have migrated to other BMW motorcycles related to Luxury Touring, and rather than lose them to another community, we felt it was best to expand our horizons beyond just the K1200LT. This group has evolved over the years, from a group of K1200LT owners, and into to a community dedicated to Luxury Touring.

We welcome the R1200RT and next-generation K1200GT to the BMW Luxury Touring Community.
