Playing with a little route from Chateau Elan to Ducktown Tn to Tellico Plains, then to Deal Gap, turn around run the Gap a second time, then 28 to Franklin NC then 23 to I-85 and back to CE..

This loop will get you the Cherohala Skyway and Deals Gap, two times, and then one of the best motorcycle roads in WNC, Hwy 28 to Franklin NC...

Leave early...you'll get home late..

A good route indeed! Hwy 28 from Nanthahala/Bryson City area over to Franklin is a good twisty route. As you drop off of the mountain those houses on the right are kind of cool!
