I was finishing my HID upgrade yesterday and when installing the H3 high beam into the metal portion of the assembly I cracked the porcelain ( or whatever material) part of the bulb. Will this affect the life of the bulb? Do I bite the bullet and shell out for a replace bulb before I have all the fun of plastic reassembly? It lights just fine, just worried about the life of the bulb.

Thanks for any advice.

Do I bite the bullet and shell out for a replace bulb before I have all the fun of plastic reassembly?I would use it until it fails. I don't think any of us can answer that question with any certainty.

BTW...you don't plan of Tupperware removal every time you have to replace a lamp, do you?
