John,

I just called Sierra BMW, as that is the "Spa" that Ali is being revitalized this week. ~;-) At this point the transmission has yet to arrive.

I can only hope that the transmission will arrive and get installed by their top notch mechanics in time to meet you and some of the other riders. That would be a great thing.

Keeping my fingers crossed,

Road up to my Reno office this morning. Brisk temps and lots of fall colors in the Sierras. 42 degrees coming down the summit on the Nevada side. I try to stop at Sierra BMW on my way home whenever I come up here on business. Today I will be helping the manager of my office here complete the deal for his new R1200RT. :D

I called on Wednesday to check on Ali. At that time, there had been no delivery of my transmission from Germany.

It is beginning to look like bad odds on making the Sierra BMW Oktoberfest.

What a beautiful ride that would be, with the colors turning.

I still have my bags packed and my fingers crossed.
