I'm thinking of attending the Spring Training Camp in North Carolina on April 20-22. Anyone want to join me for the ride down?
Since I'm coming from Long Island, maybe we could meet up somewhere on I 81. I'm open for other ideas.
Anyone else considering joining me for an early spring adventure?

If your coming you should go ahead and make reservations.
The IronHorse may be booked up by now but there is place just down the road that lets Joe stay there, so they have lower standards http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif

Rob,
Just point them to the website. A whole lot easier than reading through the threads. That's why we created it. :)

I'll call Ironhorse tomorrow to find out. According to the website Joe provided (thanks again Joe!), the host site has camping on their grounds. That where I'll be setting up my tent and sleeping bag.
Let me know if you want to meet up someplace. Two riders are safer than one.
Fred, I was thinking of leaving then too. I was going to go 7-8 hours and find a motel when I got tired. Living life on the edge! That's for me! If I get stuck without finding a motel, I'll pull off at a rest stop and pitch my tent.

Thanks Rob. I'll be caravaning with a buddy towing a trailer with the bikes; and wife/daughter in our car. Plans for the caravan are tentative; unclear when we're leaving P'cola (maybe Friday 4/21) heading north. I'll know more as time gets closer. Will keep you in mind.
BTW my aunt lives in Smithtown and cousin in Medford.

Rob, No promises but if you do go maybe just maybe I can get both of us into my sons place for the night. He is right off of I95 in Northen Va and should be a comfortable ride from there to NC. I have a reservation at the Iron horse bunkhouse so I am not bringing my camping gear this trip. Let me know for sure if you are going to make it and then I will start working on my son for an additional bed.

Thanks for the offer. Depending on the weather, I may take you up on it. But, I'm hoping for great weather so that I can enjoy my tent and sleeping bag.
ABout 7 years ago, I was a NYC Teacher who did A LOT of camping/backpacking/canoeing/rock climbing etc. with Outward Bound. I was a teacher in the school and we would take 10-15 kids out every weekend. I loved it!
Now that I'm a "Central Office" Administrator, my time out in the sticks is limited. At least now that I've got my LT I can enjoy the pleasure of my stinky sleeping bag and mildew tent again!
Now that's styling! :-)

No Problem. I understand and I also enjoy MC camping I did a couple xcountry treks across the US in 2004 in the ole tent and bag. I am going to be doing enough of it this year so I thought the bunk house idea would be cool and wouldnt have to carry all that gear. Whatever you decide I will try to look you up at STC II.
