I think they opened last year, so there might not be a lot to report just yet. Do you know if they are owned by Arizona Motorsports, the people that own most of the dealerships (of any kind) in the valley?

Based on comments made on this board, and my own visits, I'd say that Ironhorse BMW in Tucson is the best dealer in AZ.

I just purchased my second bike from them on 2/25.
I have been happy with them so far.
The parts dept. could use some tuning, IMHO.

I had my LT serviced at Ironhorse BMW in Tucson in January. They go a great job.

They are not owned by Arizona Motorsports, they are independently owned by two brothers, one of which is a member on this forum - David. And yes their parts department does need tuning.

Jack . . . I would love to have you over to the dealership. We are privately owned by myself and brother Josh. We started out in BMW Land riding K1200LTs and we have been members of the board since 2002.

We are constantly striving for excellence in each department, we currently have the only two Master Certified BMW Technicians in the valley and all of our techs are BMW Certified.

We have added some additional staffing to our parts department including another certified parts manager Jeff who is a great resource.

Jack we look forward to meeting you soon . . . please introduce yourself to me when you stop by.

Sincerely,

David Slepak

I have had both of my bikes serviced there and have been very pleased. Louie in service has taken good care of me and been very timely.
Also David and Josh do a great job of promoting the sport and are a real asset to the BMW community. I highly recommend them.

I was there one time and they supose to call me afther my bike is done . Afther 2 days, I finnally call them and they told me " Sorry but we forgoth to call, your bike is here and afther we take all parts out, we realize we don't have the right part in stock and we need to place a order .
If you like to have the parts soon , you have to pay for the shipping, if NOT we will have your parts next week.
It's more than 4 weeks and I don't know if they have my parts or NOT.
When I was there to pick up my bike, they told me I will have my bike the same way I live there, clean and I pick up my bike full of dust and ........
So, I don't know if that dealer is a BMW or ........
I pay alot for my bike to have a nice bike, and be a pleasure to go to the service, but it looks I pay for nothing.
So, my experience with the dealer in Scottdale, was pretty bad.
Sorry , but this isi the true.
Hope I'm the only one. In EUROPE is 100 times much better than here in BMW dealer.

PS. I'm from California and was my first time there. I told tehm I'm from California and they told me " Don't worry we will fix your problem today ! "
So, hope this message it will be read from sombody who works there one day !

Read my post under "Bad Experience at the Scottsdale Store"! I think very little of this dealership at this point.

Jerrod, my experience mirrors yours, but in reverse. I wouldn't go to Victory if they were the only dealer West of the Mississippi. My experience at Scottsdale has generally been pretty good. Based on my experience there last spring with my R1100GS, I am a little skeptical about David's claim of the mechanics' compentency. That experience was similar to gomy's with the missing screws, only involved throttle cable adjusters that were not tightened and locked. But, and I think this is to Scottsdale BMW's great credit, they took the bike in immediately when I returned and fixed it as a priority. It took me two more trips back the next day to get the throttle sync right though, and that leaves a big question mark about the quality of the work. There have been changes in the service personnel so maybe this has been addressed.

There are some non-dealer service alternatives including Omar at MotoGhost (www.motoghost.com), and Phoenix International Motorsports, ex-BMW dealer, (www.phxmotorsports.com and the Anonymous Book). Although they don't have the computer, at both of these you get a mechanic rather than a technician.
