Happy happy B-day to you Mitch! Keeping secrets from your fellow Oregonians eh? Hoping we might not notice that even one as young as yourself in spirit still ages? So what is the magic number Jeff? Inquiring minds want to know!

Dick, John, Brian, Ken...Thanks for all the good wishes guys!
I did put in about 1350 miles today...in 2 1/2 hours flying back from Phoenix. It is really tough leaving 80 degrees and riding everyday to come back to 45 degrees and snow possible for the end of the week, but hey, we'll enjoy it whenever we can!
This is a celebratory week for us as Judy's birthday is just three days after mine with Valentine's Day in between.
Thanks again guys,
Jeff

Well wish Judy a Happy B-day for us all as well Jeff! Speaking of weather and travel, I'm headed for Bend/Redmond this week for business and was really looking forward to taking the LT. But now they tell us the temp and the snow level should be dropping again this week, after a gorgeous last week! Timing! Looks like the G-car for this trip! But there is always summer! Of course you're down there in the land of endless summers! We're jealous, but happy for you guys!

Say it isn't so, John. I may be up as soon as next week, and I really want to take the LT this time. :(

No can do Ken! Don't know for sure about the I-5 corridor, but the Cascades are due to be hit this week. Its coming down lightly in Bend right now, but not sure if it will accumulate. I got across on OR-26 through Gov't Camp this afternoon with no probs, only a couple of light flurries. The road was fine, but there is about 5 feet of snow piled up on both sides of the roads through the passes! No Bike this trip for moi. G-car it is!
We'll see how things are when I head back Thursday. Your only concern is probably Siskiyou Summit on I-5. Probably be sunshine by next week anyway!
From my Hotel room,

Thanks anyway, John. You know I'll be watching weather.com and the ODOT cameras at the summit. I can always come up the coast if necessary.

So I get of the plane this afternoon, and it's relatively warm and dry. :( Of course that can change quickly, but I've gotten spoiled being able to ride up and charge it to work. Oh well, next time.

One thing about NW weather... It'll change before you know it, and it usually isn't good. I hope you'll enjoy your visit this time, and maybe you'll get a ride in while you're here. ;)

Ernie, I heard that Ken was more than willing to take your thoroughbred out for a run while he was up here. Probably good to get those fluids circulating a little till you can hop on and do it yourself again, eh?

True, but for some reason Ernie doesn't want to ride with me. http://users.pandora.be/eforum/emoticons4u/sad/533.gif I hear the passenger seat is real comfortable, too . . . :D
