Does anyone know how you get the Rubber tubes from the carbs into the air box (I think BMW calls it the air muffler, where the filter goes into). I can not get them to seat all the way in so the unit is on tight. I am probably doing something wrong  . Could find nothing on a search.

Wish I could help, but cannot think what might be the problem. I have had mine off 3 different times, but had no problems getting them seated again.

From your description, you seem to have removed the airbox from the top of the rubber connector tubes, and I cannot remember exactly, but if not mistaken I removed the box WITH the tubes by loosening the clamps on the throttle body ends. The clamps on the throttle body ends are screw type, the ones on top are the compression latch type. Which ones did you loosen?

I just pulled the box off the rubber tubes.

If you did not loosen the clamps and just pulled the box up, then that is the problem.

Remove the tubes from the throttle bodies by loosening the clamps there, then try to push the tubes back on the the box one at a time. If you cannot get them on, then you will have to pop the clamps loose by pushing the ends in opposite directions, then when the tubes are back on pop the clamps back in place with pliers.

The rubber tubes are connected to the throttle bodies with the screwless clamps. The tube end going into the air box has no clamp but is supposed to pop in place.I got two of them but the other two are impossible. I guess I need to remove the tube at the throttle body. How do I remove the screwless clamps? Then do I just replace with screw type Clamps?

How do I remove the screwless clamps? Then do I just replace with screw type Clamps? As David posted, compress/squeeze the clamps so that the overlapping end advances forward enough to release itself from the overlapped end (or pry the overlapping end forward/out), and then release the tension. If you are reasonably careful, the clamp can be reused; it is reset by simply re-engaging the overlapping end's tiny inward projection into the corresponding slot in the overlapped end.

As far as replacing the clamps with screw clamps, I've never had to to it, but I would be *very* concerned with ensuring there is sufficient clearance for the adjacent throttle rail pulleys, and in particular the semi-independently-rotating cruise control pulleys on the throttle rail. Careful positioning of the worm screw may be sufficient, but access may only be through the front of the bike is there's not enough room. Personally, if I chewed up the clamps, I's just pick up a couple more from the dealer so I wouldn't have to worry about fitment issues.
