Hopefully the weather will hold for you. I can suggest quiet a few good rides. The shoreline ride along Lake Mead is awesome. I can also suggest rolling through the valley of fire. Give us a shout.
Ps: here is a good link http://sportbikeroads.com/nv.htm

Did Vegas last year with Maria on our 25th anniversary. I will just say, it was incredible. Some of the sites we thought were the best were Monument valley, Our favorite was Zion NP and Bryce. We also did North and South Rim of Grand Canyon. Lake Powell was beautiful. Sedona was nice but very expensive area. On the way to Zion we cruised thru the Valley of Fire which is not very far from Vegas. Have a great trip.

Got the details - I'll be staying in a town called Primm. I think it's about 50 miles from Vegas. It's on the California line. So what would be a good loop/run from there. I've only got 1 full day to check things out so I wan't to go to the most scenic in the area.

Thanks,
TBob

We're going up there ina few weeks and staying at the same place (Buffalo Bills). I would suggest a nice day ride ride through Death Valley.

We're doing something similar to this:

That would be a great ride. You can even take NV 160 out of Vegas to Pahrump over to US 95 and then up to Beatty. The new casino in Beatty is a good place to eat.

Just remember to obey posted limits coming into and especially through Beatty. And make a full foot-down stop at the town's Stop sign. The local LEO is rather particular about such things.

That actually is the route we'll use. Just that we'll be traveling in the opposite direction.;)

Sounds good - haven't figured out anything else so that's probably the one I'll end up doing.

Thanks - off to Primm!

Suggest you avoid the I15 exchange ramps in downtown LV..take the Blue Diamond exit(Hwy 160) and proceed westbound to Pahrump.. Stay on 160 (northbound) to reconnect with 95 to Beatty..the traffic on the initial portion on Blue Diamond will be a little busy for a bit but is much better as you get past the construction areas..It beats the downtown traffic and gives you a better ride IMHO..

You might consider taking a side trip to Red Rock Canyon which has 13 mile twisty road through the national park and backtrack to 160 to continue your trip..
