:bmw: Finally got my new, for me, bike. Bought a 2004, R1200CL. Will pick it up on Friday the 17th (hopefully).

It has a single cd and am/fm radio and I'd really like to add an XMSatelite Radio. Any ideas/advice would be welcome.

Now I just have to repair the rear fender on Skylarks (Les's) V-Star so we can sell it and sell my Intruder.

Bead, bikes and chocolate - it doesn't get any better. :)

Awesome, Beady - just awesome!! Looks like you and the new-to-you scoot are ready for some smilin' miles!! Congrats!

BTW - pencil in March 18th on your calendar (it's already penciled in on the site calendar) and plan to attend Ron Kellenbenz's RTE over in Tyler. There is a post in the South Central forum, giving particulars. Scream if you need more info. Would love to meet you and Les and introduce y'all to the asylum members!!

Have fun when you ride the new scoot home, Beady. Thanks for sharing the event with us. Ride safe.

Les has already added it to our calendar. We picked up the bike yesterday during lunch. I rode it back to work and he rode it home - he wanted to leave early. Of course I was worried when I didn't hear from him after an hour and called - no answer on his cell phone. Started getting panicky - was worried about my new bike ;) . Had left a msg for him and he called me back. Forgot to get a house key or garage opener and couldn't get into the house, so he stopped by the airport where we used to keep our ultralight and was visiting people - showing off MY new bike :D .

The brakes take some getting used to. On my Suzuki I was pretty heavy footed/handed with the brakes. Oh yeah, I also had to change the CD disk and put one of my own in.

Thanks,

Beady

Congrats on the new ride. My wife looked at one of those but ended up going with a Yamaha V-star instead. I figure, if she's happy...

That was the bike I was going to inherit from DH. Fortunately, he sold his truck and I was able to get ? (haven't come up with a name for her yet) :D
