Well, We had an emergency at work today and I volunteered to drive to NJ and pick up some parts we needed. I took the bike. I decided to meet the guy with the parts at the Vince Lombardi Rest Stop off of I-95. It took me just over tow hours from Rocky Hill, CT. The guy I was meeting was there and waiting when I got there. He gave the box of stuff and off he went. I ran in and used the restroom and checked voicemail. Not 10 minutes had gone by and I was headed back to the office. On the way down I went over the GW bridge not bad for Mid day. On the way back I went the same way except when i got to RTE 8 in Bridgeport. i shot north to Rte 15 and enjoyed a spirited ride up 15. This was the longest single trip I have taken with the LT. Non stop for 4 hours. Temp was in the low to mid 30s but Sunny. My only complaint was my butt was getting tired after the four hours. Oh yeah my toes were a little cold. Other than that what a great ride. I avg well over 6oMPH roundtrip and saw about 45mpg. And I got paid to do the trip! Plus myu company is paying 45 cents a mile. Sweet deal! Snow is on the way though. Have a great day! I did.

Were you wearing the Sidi boots? I assume you had on your new Belstaff Jacket and Gloves. Were the heated grips good enough to keep your hands warm with the Belstaff?

It was a very clear day, I could see the mount Tom Range, just south of Northampton, a good 45 miles, from the hills in south Glastonbury on my local afternoon ride.

Now you are ready to lead the New Years day 2007 ride to the NJTpk!!

I was wearing my new Sidi boots and my new Belstaff Jacket and Gloves. I had a pretty thin pair of socks on so that is what I attribute the cold toes to. I have been riding all week and yesterday I was not planning to ride so when i got dressed in the morning I put on a pair of dress socks for work.

As for the hand warmers. Very good. I ahd them on high the whole time and the transfer into the glove was very good. My hands were actually sweating at times.

The jacket is unbelievable. Very comfortable and warm. Thanks for the reccomendation. If I had my Aerostich on I would ahve been cold.

Waiting for the spring! :D
