My LT is at the doc's for the 24000 miles check up. Doc told me that my LT has the best looking valves for a 99 she see in LTs. I wonder if the chip and pipe helped???

Motorman,

What was the mechanic doing looking at your valves during a 24,000 mile service? I don't think you can see them doing that service. Maybe he meant cams?

to my understanding the valves has to be so very out off spect, to make a difference in the performance of the engine

I just had my 24,00 done and they checked the valve adjustment. Mine is a 2005 - no adjustment(shimming) was necessary.

John, at first glance I thought you had been to the cath lab to get your heart checked out. Glad you weren't, and good to hear your LT's valves are looking good. They are almost as important!

5-8000 rpm shifts

I'd tell my wife the same thing.

WOW! Great looking valves!

Time for your monthly valve check?

Didn't work most of the time.
