The Third Annual West Coast Rendezvous will be held at Scenic Sequoia Kings Canyon Nation Park – Three Rivers California. This year we have a local couple Dan & Joellen King (K1200KING) and Ken Meese (meese) from SoCal that have graciously volunteered to be our hosts for WCR 2006. Dan and Joellen have secured accommodations at the Holiday Inn Express THREE RIVERS-SEQUOIA NATL PARK and are currently working on locations for the Friday evening reception and Saturday Dinner. Being that our Hosts are locals, I'm sure they have lots of good suggests for days rides out of Three Rivers. I know that Sequoia Kings Canyon NP is an amazing breathtaking ride and the Southern Sierra foot hills are full of great motorcycling roads.

Hotel Info from Dan & Joellen:
We have secured a block of 40 - 50 rooms with the Holiday Inn Express Three Rivers. Please have WCR participants call 1-559-561-9000 to make their reservation individually, mention the BMWLT Group for the discounted rates. Rooms are blocked out for June 15th through the 18th, with multiple room types available. At $89.00 + Tax you have you choice of one King or two Queens and at $109 Suites (limited)with wet bar in either two Queens or a King & Hot tub - all include a breakfast buffet each morning. Reservation must be made by May 16th. After that the rooms are released back to general public availability. The address of the Holiday Inn Express is 40820 Sierra drive Three Rivers, CA 93271. You can go to their web-site at http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hd/thrsn , but do not use the 1-800 – number for reservations – you will not receive the proper rate. If you have any problems making reservations ask to talk with Judy.

Note: The web site is offering even more savings on the rooms for an Advance purchase but - Warning! These are Advance purchase, you pay for in full when you reserve and they are non-refundable. If you decide to reserve online, please call Judy at the Hotel and let her know your part of the BMWLT block of rooms.

WCR 2006 will again basically be a loose and unorganized ride to meet the other great members of the board out here on the West Coast and do some riding! There will be no Official sign ups or entry fees but please respond if you make hotel reservations and plan to attend the Saturday Dinner so we may get head counts. Along with Saturday Dinner we have a Friday night meet and greet and this year a Thursday night early arrival Pizza & Beer dinner.
We will be looking for a few door prizes, so if you have a good rapport with your local dealer see if you can work a gift certificate out of them for the event. This event would not be possible without this great BBS, so we will pass the hat for any voluntary donations that we can squeeze out...............
Along with our Hosts Dan & Joellen and Ken - Ernie Azevedo (ErineA) and myself (amarider) will be the unofficial organizers for WCR. Please feel free to PM any of us with your suggestions or questions. More info to come as it become available, but make your reservations early so we may expand the block of rooms if needed.

Much more to come but please make your reservations early (you may cancel up to 48 hours prior).

This is cross posted in the Nor Cal Forum - Please sign up there if you make reservations.

From Dan and Joellen.

The Locals have been warned
Joellen and I went to Three Rivers this weekend to finalize our arrangements for WCR. We warned the Pizza Factory to make sure the kegs were full and to make sure they had enough pizza to satisfy the crowd on Friday evening. Then we went to the mexican restaurant and reserved the patio for Saturday evening. The owner is working up a special menu for our group with a selection of about a dozen different dinners that should please everyone.
We are both excited to see this taking shape. Jo being the ultimate party planner is chomping at the bit to get the party started. We are both looking forward to seeing all of you soon.

Thanks Dan & JoEllen!

I would also like to remind everyone that there will be an early arrival get together at the Pizza factory on Thurday night. We'll plan for 8PM to get everyone time to ride after work. Three Rivers is about 4 hours from the Bay Area, Sacramento or LA. I hope son of the Great North Wet can make it in early too.

Can't wait - See everyone there.
