View Full Version : Upper 1100X light mounts? T&R the only choice?

Looking at doing something other than mounting the PIAA 1100X's directly to the mirrors like I now have. I don't want lights crammed into the cowel or down low where Mototlights go. Is T&R my only option? Has anyone used them? I can think of two possible downs: (1) replaces the wings so no wind protection in the winter; and (2) mounted so close to the Tupperware, might there be coverage issues (shadowing)?

No way I'm spending 250 clams on an RBR mount. Martins might be OK, but still kind of low. Raster mounts don't work with the 1100X. What else is out there?

Thanks!

I recently asked a similar question and was directed to the Cycle Gadgets K1200LT page (http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/LightKits/?bike=K1200LT), but you've obviously already seen that.

Have you looked at the brackets that Raffy offers? Scroll down to the bottom of this page (http://motogear4you.com/mcart/index.cgi?code=3&cat=2).
