If you contact Ironhorse to reserve lodging for LT Spring Training II, be prepared for an entrance exam. It's like trying to reserve a resort hotel room for CCR; if you don't answer the question correctly, well...

I emailed Ironhorse to inquire about a bunkhouse room, and Tammy replied: "Are you part of the Spring Training Camp, BMW k1200 LT or Don Norwood's group?". I called her and said, "yes". She (nicely) pressed, "OK, but which one?"

Uh-oh. This must be a trick question.

Thinking fast, I told her (i) I attended Spring Training Camp last year; (ii) I saw the information on the K1200LT website; and (iii) Don Norwood told me (well, not me PERSONALLY) to contact Ironhorse to reserve a space.

That must have been acceptable, cuz Tammy took my reservation. I don't know what might have happened had I not been able to claim triple authorization.

Now that's funny.... but think of the folks that she has turned away...maybe they got just two out of three...

Weyman, Brett will have another set of passwords just for the bunkhouse and bring some soft earplugs (like to sleep with) :)

Glad you're joining us at STC II,

Glad you're joining us at STC II,

According to Doug, you will need to bring HEAVY-DUTY earplugs! Right Don? :p :p

The only password needed is this, if he can snore in a harmonious way, he will be let in! Doug will appreciate that! :D

I shore am glad all the talk about snoring centers around the Bunkhouse, so it'll take the pressure off me!! To hear Doug tell it, I'M the buzz saw in the house. Just to be on the safe side, I may have elective "snore removal surgery" right before STC....naaahhh. :D

You guys make it sound like I've been sleeping around or something.:)
To set this straight,(pun intended) I have camped next to Al's tent numerous times. And 2 nights in the same bunkhouse with Brett at last fall's Return to Ironhorse.
Now, to compare you two. Brett's got the volume. Sorry Al.
But, Don has supplied me with the knowledge to defeat the both of you. You'll have to keep one eye open or else!!!

Doug, YOU HAVE been sleeping around and I am getting tired of it! LOL :D

Al, if Doug kicks me out can I sleep with you and your sweetie?

Don, you gotta tell your joke at Spring Training. It can be a lesson on "how to negotiate" your room rate even when the people behind the desk don't want to negotiate!
