R1200RT Squeal when first starting

Washed and waxed my RT1200RT today, then went for a ride. When I first started it this morning, there was a loud squeal for 15 seconds, then all was normal . Rode 20 miles with no problems or warning lights. The bike is a 2008 with 3k miles. Outside Temperature was around 40F. Any ideas?

Same here. Mine only squeals for about 10 seconds or so but only after a serious wash down.

Simple: it squealed because it hated to be washed & waxed.

You did what? Dishonored it by washing? :D

Thanks for all the info and replies. Never thought about the RT hating to be washed and waxed. Too funny.
