Hi guys,
running gradually out of farkle ideas I thought that why not make a flasher / modulator for my Hella FF aux high beams. This would be just for the occasional lane splittings as I would need to draw the attention of the bull headed half blind drivers in front of me. I don't want to use the 4-way emergency flashers as I would be drawing the unnecessary attention from the behind also.
The head light modulators as such are not allowed over here and some units that I have seen on the web are designed to be connected right behind the headlight bulb.
I would need a separate unit to command two 55 W halogen bulbs. Is there any rocket science in those units? I was thinking of building one out of a regular turn signal flasher relay that would be commanding a heavy duty 70 amp relay feeding the lights as I am afraid the turn signal flasher would perhaps not tolerate the 110 W halogen load. I happen to have one extra switch (the last one of my 18 extra switches :p ) available for commanding the turn signal flasher relay. Whaddya say, would this work?
Regards
