Wow, there's a lot to be said for raw patriotism and good voices. No showboating, no vocal gymnastics just straight ahead singing.

One of my personal favorites was years ago during the ALCS when Paul Simon sang it straight. It was soul stirring!

Those service people did one fine job. The good side of American youth.

I was MC for the USARPAC band during the Vietnam War and we had one of the best big band dance bands I have ever heard and I have heard Count Basie and Duke Ellington.

One of the guys just retired as a music professor at U of Montana and is hunting us all up on the internet. It is amazing how many of the guys stayed in the music profession and are at universities and orchestras today. Thanks to the GI Bill. A benefit that last long after you get after the service.

Very nice. Thanks.

Interesting as always to see President's Bush and Clinton together, as they have been all over the world in recent years. Those two Americans have done a lot of good together since leaving office.

Nice, come to think of it, to hear women's voices in the service choirs, which were not there the first time I heard them. Better to his the notes in the final stanza.

Thank you!
