Now in stock are Gerbing's new Microwire Heated Jacket Liners (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/clothing_accessories/gerbing_heated_clothing/gerbing_s_heated_jacket_liner.html), G3 gloves (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/clothing_accessories/gerbing_s_heated_clothing/gerbing_s_heated_gloves_g3.html), and T5 gloves (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/clothing_accessories/gerbing_s_heated_clothing/gerbing_s_heated_gloves_t5.html).

If you aren't familiar with what Microwire is, it's the latest and greatest technology in heated gear that uses hundreds microscopic stainless steel strands instead of the traditional copper wire that was used before it.

The "Thinner, Lighter, Stronger, Faster" advantages of the Microwire™ technology are immediately obvious in both how it feels and how quickly it heats up (0 – 120 degrees in 4 seconds).

Not only are we happy to finally be a Gerbing's dealer, but we're participating in the Test ride program that was just announced.

With the test ride program we let you take a new Microwire Liner out for a test ride so you can see and feel the difference yourself. Just give a call if you're local and interested in taking a liner out for a test ride and we'll set up a time so you can see how much better the new liners are.

And if you're interested in seeing all of the gear, both 12v and portable battery, we now have in stock, just go to our Gerbing's clothing page (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/clothing_accessories/gerbing_heated_clothing.html).

Since they've been on the market for a little while now, there are a few reviews of the new Gerbing's Microwire heated liners.

Below are a few links to some reviews and a scan of the latest review from Cycle World. If you ask me, even their "Downs" don't seem that bad ;)

It would be nice if there was a generous trade-in program for those of us who have already invested in Gerbing's original products. Maybe it would be more practical, though, if we sold them ourselves and then bought into the new technology. I have no doubt the new products are better in many ways, but I can't justify having two sets of them.

Good luck with the new product line; I'm looking forward to trying one out myself.

I saw a demo at the Chicago Region BMW-MOA November meeting. The heat is instant. The wire came out of their DOD work for battery powered units for soldiers. As you might imagine, the DOD has some real durability concerns.

I have seen some and expect to see more on eBay.

There was talk about a trade-in program but to be honest, it wasn't something I would encourage people to do.

If it comes about in the format discussed you would make more money selling the used liner outright than the trade in allowance.

I had some G3 gloves for personal use and wanted the new T5's. They went fast once I put them online which made the upgrade easier to swing :D .
