Jessica McConnachie shout out!!

For those of you folks who attended the BMW National Rally this year, and recently received the October issue of BMW ON, be sure and take a close look at the cover page.

Yep, that is Jessica McConnachie from The Woodlands, Tejas, making sure that stunt rider Teach McNeil's stoppie did just that!!! Jessica is a BMW MOA member and attended the annual Camp Gears program at the rally.

Dave - Jessica's Dad - is the photog for the cover shoot, and mentioned this to me during our RTE last Saturday in Doss, Tejas. Proud papa wuz beaming when he told me to watch for it!!

So - as I said; a shout out to Jessica for bravery during the stunt!! Well done. :thumb: And thanks to proud papa, Dave, for sharing the event.

OH, yeah - Jessica; next time the South Central Tejas group gets together for an RTE, join up with your Dad and have a safe ride on your scoot (if school studies don't interfere!!!).

Jessica didn't know about the magazine picture until this evening when I got the mail. She's been texting her friends all evening. She's even put a copy of the cover on her facebook page. To say she is excited wouldn't get close.

There is a video on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auVHNTkt4K8 that shows the stunt. It's a 3 minute video, but the actual stunt starts at the 2 minute mark. I was standing in the crowd and managed to take a few pictures, one of them was used for the magazine cover.

She rode her Ninja 250 to the rally and won the youngest female rider award. She was excited about that too. She's already making plans to attend next years rally - its in Redmond, Oregon.

We'll be at the Houston club's rally in Smithville, TX on October 16th, 17th and 18th if you want your magazine autographed!
