Dan wasn't a member of our group, but was a good friend of mine and we've ridden many miles together. He was a Ducati/Harley guy. Not sure of details, but eye witness accounts say he was run off the road into the guard rail during his morning commute by a pickup truck. He was 47, a gentle soul, who loved life, and wore protective gear. Needless to say his family is devastated. I'm struggling myself. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.

You got'em, Benny. Tough to lose a friend; especially a close friend. Blessings to Dan's family, and to you, thru these difficult times.

Benny, I am sorry to hear of your loss, and of course the feelings of grief that you and your friend's family are feeling.

I pray that your friend left this world without a lot of pain, and without fear.

Benny -

I am very sorry. I lost a friend about 7 years ago in a similar way and I know what you are going through. Prayers for Dan, his family, friends and you.

Thanks for the thoughts & prayers y'all. It was a beautiful funeral service. Rememberances, bagpipes, reaquaintance. Dan's brother's eulogy was particularly touching, they were very close. Dan's mom gave me the biggest hug (hadn't seen her since January). Son Danny, (Sasquatch's good buddy) is going to organize a memorial ride in about 3 weeks. I will plan to attend and will post it for others who would like to join. I know numbers of bikes look cool, but safety can become an issue when folks don't know how to ride in groups spaced in sub groups to provide proper passing intervals for other traffic and proper management of the personal air cushion. That said, I will get a feel for how many bikes Danny thinks will be in attendance and put that in my post for consideration. Thanks again, appreciate you, my brothers.
