Just remember that the BMW headlight circuit is not fused.... at all... and while the HID unit may be... it won't help you if the wire gets hot back at the computer and melts everything together like happened to me.... $3600 damage....

What I recommend is using their power wire only as your switch wire to a relay you install yourself. Then run larger gauge wire to the nose directly from the battery and distribute power from there using a distribution block.

The nice thing about this is that all your accessories including your lights will be on when your key is on but will all shut down when you hit the starter button. The relay acts to turn the circuit on when the lights would normally be on but completely interrupted otherwise.... no drain and no competition with the starter. I have HID, Blinder Laser Jammer x2, Escort radar detector, GPS, Radar Screamer, etc all hooked up using this set up.

Just a heads up fwiw.....

Yup... the system I bought from a vendor here is a Phillips and has the wiring and relays.. the BMW wiring only controls the relay to turn on the system.. very low draw..
