The sun comes out at least once a week for a few hours.............
I've made a big loop several times this winter, 99W from Eugene, to 20 West,
breakfast at Country Cafe in Burnt Woods, 229 North to 101 just below Lincoln City....then North to 23 E or South to Florence for some barley.....................
also South from Eugene to 42W to Bandon and North to Reedsport and home...
I've seen a few Gold Wings out there, but where are y'all ?

Working? Repairing fences that get blown over by the wind? Cleaning rain gutters? Getting wood for the stove? Sitting on my....well I won't go there.
A ride down the coast sounds really inviting though.

I'm counting the days to re-hab excercises on my shoulder (surgery Jan 20). You can bet I'll be down your way asap. Keep up the routine. It sounds like a great route. I would find a way to stop at a 21 table (just for a break) somewhere in the route.

Allen,
I spotted your trike around town a couple of times this winter. I've been riding everyday and enjoying the northwest's mild winter.

Unlike last year, shoveling too much damn snow! Got in an hour or so last week when we had a dry spell and some of the gravel had washed off the road thanks to the rain (versus snow). We're at 145% of "normal" precip. for the year. So, it's snowmobiling time.

Allen,
I headed out this morning, and got to the coast early. I find it amazing, after three years in the Eugene area, there has only been two , or three days that were unfavorable for riding. This area truly is motorcycling nirvana compared to the Northeast where I used to battle the weather for seven to eight months a year.

Ernie,
Take care of that shoulder and come back strong. I estimate you will be back, new and improved, about the same time the sun breaks through the clouds down here in the valley.
