.
Regarding reviews, the 1st review read isn't the definitive word. Read pro's, and come in on the topic at some different angles.
This is interesting:

Scroll down to May 27 and please read Radar Roy's summary of the
Escort Passport 9500ci. In my mind, it ends all the debate. :rotf:

If the links don't work,
Apologies, I'll learn how to insert an html link very soon.
Thanks,

I know that all three of my Escorts alert sooner (usually 1/4 mile sooner) than a V-1. Proved it many times over with three different V-1's.

I know that all three of my Escorts alert sooner (usually 1/4 mile sooner) than a V-1. Might be true, my Valentine usually goes of long before I can see the LEO
which is all I need since the Valentine lets me know which direction he's coming from,
until the "competition" can do that they're inferior (in my not so humble opinion)

It's probably not a reasonable comparison because the 9500ci is newer technolgy
and has additional features.
Although slowing , new generation technology or refinements of existing technology is a natural evolution of electronic progress.
For the price and performance, the V1 or 8500 x50 are darn good products. :yeah:
At $ 1,599.00 the 9500ci is a huge leap and can't or shouldn't be included in
head 2 head comparisons with devices costing 1/3 the price.
At this time, it appears the V1 or 8500 is enough technology.
However, according to Radar Roy, ( certainly a highly respected and qualified evaluator) the 9500ci appears to be the newest standard for comparison -
of course until the next newest, latest, greatest device in introduced.

I own both... x50 and V1.... I love them both... I agree that the escort typically tells you more quickly, but the V1 tells you more information at a glance which is more valuable in most cases.
I think the V1 comes in most handy when you have passed a LEO and it lets you know that they are moving away from you to the rear.... but wait... there is another still ahead getting closer...

Oh... and Roy is a little biased though if you know that going in... he has some early insights at times.
